The Blouse That Does The Thinking

Most of my wardrobe is quiet. Navy, grey, black — sensible things that go together and say nothing. The trouble with a quiet wardrobe is that on the days you'd like to look like you've made an effort, you have to BUILD the effort: the necklace, the scarf, the earrings, the twenty minutes in front of the mirror asking whether it's all too much or not enough.

The fabric is light and moves well, the fit is relaxed without being baggy, and the V-neckline is open without being low — which is why it flatters rather than fusses, and why it layers neatly under a cardigan or coat on a cold morning. The sleeves sit nicely rolled or down. Everything about it behaves.
